Machine Learning
Machine learning is an application of artificial intelligence (AI) that provides systems the ability to automatically learn and improve from experience without being explicitly programmed. Machine learning focuses on the development of computer programs that can access data and use it learn for themselves.
Block Chain
Blockchain is a decentralized, public ledger for financial transactions. With cryptocurrencies and peer-to-peer computing, its adoption has expanded across sectors like supply chain management, insurance, and healthcare. Researchers are developing sector-specific solutions, such as Hyperledger by the Linux Foundation.
Internet of Things (IOT)
The Internet of Things (IoT) is a network of smart devices that can send and receive data. Its growth is accelerated by Edge and Fog computing. To support this, the department has signed an MoU with industry partners to provide training for students in these emerging technologies.
Cyber Security
Managing life and business has become increasingly difficult, with existing solutions becoming obsolete. AI-equipped solutions are now needed to enhance and automate processes. Researchers are working on AI and deep learning-based solutions to handle rapidly changing scenarios in various domains.
Data Science
Data science combines data inference, algorithm development, and technology to solve complex problems. Data scientists aid industries in making better decisions using historical evidence. Applications range from healthcare to banking, with recent studies focusing on emotion classification, sentiment analysis, and disease prediction.
