Electrical vs. Electronics Engineering: Similarities and Differences

Electrical and Electronics course of engineering undeniably share similar aspects in the field of electrics. This causes uncertainty amongst the youngsters as they are torn between electrical & electronics and electronics & communication branch of engineering. To be precise, both B Tech branches have their own plethora of opportunities and challenges. We can say that none of them are inferior or superior to the other as they hold their own fort in the engineering field.  
So now you have decided to pursue engineering and wish to pursue in one of these branches. This brings us to the next predicament—which branch? Electrical or Electronics. Henceforth we will explore these fields equally and their scope in employment. We hope this will bring more clarity on the differences between these two engineering fields.

Electrical & Electronics engineering: This particular B tech Branch deals with designing, testing and overlooking the manufacture of various technical systems. Their works involves electrical projects on a large scale. The engineers are also engaged in power systems, radar & navigation systems, electric systems in vehicles and aircraft amongst others. Electrical engineers are offered a range of job positions such as Circuit engineer, chief engineer, design engineer, power systems engineer, electrical design engineer, instrumentation and electrical reliability engineer, etc. test engineer
Electronics & Communication engineering: It is a subset of electrical engineering as it deals with electrical equipments too, but in the areas of computing, medical, commercial, and transportation. The engineers work on the construction and maintenance of internal circuits of electronic devices such as television, satellites, communication networks, mobile phones, GPS, sonar and radar systems, etc.

The job positions offered to the Electronics engineers are communications engineer, technical director, field test engineer, electronics device and development engineer, service engineer, network planning engineer, etc. 

From the above context, we can conclude that although Electrical and Electronics engineer share a common similarity, their scope and field of work is distinctively different.
